After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Collierville, Southwind was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Oakhaven Hawks an 11-0 shutout. The game marked the Jaguars' most dominant win of the season so far.

Southwind got a massive performance out of Mitchell Stansbury, who scored two runs and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs Stansbury has posted since back in March of 2024. Johnathan Loza-Ruiz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

Southwind is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Oakhaven's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Southwind Jaguars face off against Whitehaven Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakhaven, they will face off against Memphis East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
