The St. Francis Red Raiders waltzed into their match Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 70-57 win over Williamsville South. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
St. Francis had a senior duo take command as Nicholas Bienko scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals and Jeremiah Neely scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Neely's third in a row with at least ten points. Nolan Edwards was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and four steals.
St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Williamsville South, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
St. Francis will be home for the holidays to greet Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Frontier's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Williamsville South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
