Denmark has gone 8-2 against Marinette recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Barrett Cole was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Brynn Coakley also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Denmark's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Marinette, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Marinette's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Denmark has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. It's a different story for Marinette, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Denmark's hitters?
Everything went Denmark's way against Marinette when the teams last played back in April, as Denmark made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
