Quincy is a perfect 10-0 against Portola since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will face off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Quincy will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Quincy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Trinity 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jemma Trueblood was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Gay, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Adrian Goulet was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Quincy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Portola hadn't done well against Modoc recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Braves, sneaking past 9-7.
Kyra Carlson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Ainsleigh Pruitt was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Chloe Williamson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Quincy pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Portola, their record is now 16-10-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Quincy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Portola struggles in that department as they've averaged .495. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Quincy's way against Portola when the teams last played back in April, as Quincy made off with a 20-4 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
