There's no place like home for Isabella, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Dallas County Hornets 16-1 on Friday. Considering the Mustangs have won five games by more than 12 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Austin Porter was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Isabella's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Garrett Price was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Alex Henderson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Isabella always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dallas County only posted an OBP of .250.

With the win, Isabella broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for Dallas County, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Isabella will host Tuscaloosa Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Tuscaloosa Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Isabella surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dallas County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Verbena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dallas County will need to watch out since Verbena has now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
