If the Logansport Berries were feeling good off their 47-21 takedown of the Marion Giants last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Logansport took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Bend Adams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Logansport of the 59-54 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Logansport's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Lydia Goad and Golda Kitchell. Goad scored 17 points along with four steals, while Kitchell scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rylinn Spradling, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Logansport has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for South Bend Adams, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9.
Logansport will play host again and welcome Anderson, where tip off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Anderson is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52 points per game. As for South Bend Adams, South Bend Adams and Bremen will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Bremen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
