After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Brook Hill finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 8-1 to the Tatum Eagles. The Guard's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Brook Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Tatum, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Brook Hill will square off against Mansfield Homeschool at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Guard surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tatum, they will face off against Central Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
