The Johnson Atomsmashers were the 41-22 winner over the Liberty County Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Johnson fell just short of Liberty County by a score of 38-36.
Liberty County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dallas Spencer, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Mar'qeria Troche was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Johnson's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for Liberty County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson will take on Groves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson is facing Groves at the right time seeing as Groves is stuck on a 23-game losing streak. As for Liberty County, they will be playing at home against Long County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Long County is ranked 362nd, while Liberty County is ranked 358th).
