Softball Recap: Whetstone Wins Going Away Against East

Whetstone's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the East Tigers with a sharp 19-4 victory. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Whetstone got a massive performance out of Agnes Mullen, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Sophie Schroeder was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Whetstone's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Whetstone will face off against rival Mifflin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, East is set to take on their familiar foe Beechcroft at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
