Berean Academy has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Berean Academy didn't have too much trouble with Dalton Academy at home as they won 44-26. The win was just what Berean Academy needed coming off of a 54-24 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Mount Pisgah Christian Academy strolled past Maryville Christian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy.
It was another big night for Kaylynn Walls, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Foster, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Berean Academy's record is now 2-3. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Berean Academy came up short against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 45-33. Thankfully for Berean Academy, Hadley Walls (who scored nine points along with four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
