The LaSalle Royal Lions entered their tilt with the Coral Gables Cavaliers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went LaSalle's way against the Cavaliers on Monday as the Royal Lions made off with a 59-37 victory. LaSalle has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

Cruz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandra Gonzalez casar, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 19 rebounds.
Coral Gables' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Savannah Villarreal, who scored 13 points. Jasmin Abu was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaSalle won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Coral Shores will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for Coral Gables, they will head out on the road to square off against the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison's defense has only allowed 15.8 points per game this season, so the Cavaliers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
