The Pocono Mountain East Cardinals are taking a road trip to face off against the Freedom Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pocono Mountain East will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Pocono Mountain East is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 17-14 win over Stroudsburg on Monday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Camryn Sopko made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Justin Williams and Devon Jackson did most of the damage at the plate: Williams scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Jackson went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Jackson a new career-high. Connor Triano was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Pocono Mountain East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Freedom hadn't beaten Parkland on the road since May 30, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. Freedom came out on top against Parkland by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Freedom also got a great performance from Chase Walker as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Kullman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Santiago Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Pocono Mountain East pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
