The Pennsauken Indians entered their tilt with Doane Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pennsauken slipped by Doane Academy 53-52 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Pennsauken, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Doane Academy had strong showings from Colin Warman, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, and Nick Fusco, who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Warman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Fields, who scored eight points.
Pennsauken now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Doane Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Pennsauken won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Camden Academy Charter on January 27th. Camden Academy Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Pennsauken likes a good challenge. As for Doane Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Bordentown at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bordentown is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
