Curwensville waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Mount Union Trojans 13-3. Considering the Golden Tide have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kylah Wos made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Briah Peoples, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ava Hainsey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Curwensville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Union only posted an OBP of .333.

Curwensville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Curwensville will challenge West Branch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Tide's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Mount Union, they will face off against Tussey Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
