Crest Ridge barely beat Kingsville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 21-3 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Crest Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Kingsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Crest Ridge and Kingsville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 45th) will meet Warsaw (ranked second) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kingsville will take on Sweet Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (104 vs. 26).
