The Munford Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Collierville Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Munford's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over Memphis Central. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Addi Jones made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Gabby Asbill looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Maycee Walker and Kadence Brewer did most of the damage at the plate: Walker went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Brewer went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Brewer has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn McCain, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Munford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Memphis Central only posted an OBP of .182.
Meanwhile, Collierville got the win against White Station on Monday by a conclusive 15-0.
Collierville got a massive performance out of Braylie Wertz, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Karrington Mitchell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs.
Munford's record is now 15-11. As for Collierville, their record now sits at 20-7-1.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Munford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. However, it's not like Collierville struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Munford couldn't quite get it done against Collierville when the teams last played back in April as they fell 6-2. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
