The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pensacola Christian Academy has scored all season.
Pensacola Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quincy Williams, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Johnson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Pensacola Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Solomon Sutton led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Terius Mason was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Pensacola Christian Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-7 record last season and are now at 5-8. As for Pensacola Catholic, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14.
Pensacola Christian Academy will challenge L.E.A.D. Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully L.E.A.D. Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday. As for Pensacola Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulf Breeze at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
