Crooksville has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Meadowbrook Colts at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Crooksville and the Colts are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Crooksville, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-39 loss to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Crooksville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Panthers are ranked 246th).
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 64-21 win over Coshocton on the road. The win was just what Meadowbrook needed coming off of a 55-26 defeat in their prior game.
Crooksville dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Meadowbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Crooksville came up short against the Colts in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 36-31. Can Crooksville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
