Augusta Prep Day scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They had to suffer through a 72-21 loss at the hands of the Piedmont Academy Cougars. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Marissa Holder was her usual excellent self, going 9 of 14 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points along with eight rebounds and eight blocks for Piedmont Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which Holder has scored at least a third of Piedmont Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Keck, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 20 points.

Augusta Prep Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Piedmont Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Augusta Prep Day will square off against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Augusta Prep Day is facing Monsignor Donovan Catholic at the right time seeing as Monsignor Donovan Catholic is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Piedmont Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Tattnall Square Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Piedmont Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.
