Deckerville won the last time they faced Mayville and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles took their matchup with ease, bagging a 58-14 win over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three games by 41 points or more so far this season.

Deckerville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Flanagan led the charge by rushing for 46 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 81 yards and one TD. Another rusher making a difference was Brandon Salowitz, who gained 61 total yards and three touchdowns.

Deckerville's run defense was locked in: Mayville could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Flanagan stood above the rest. He rushed for 46 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 81 yards and one TD. Deckerville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.5.

Deckerville's defense didn't let Tyrus Davidson, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Trenten Park with two.

Deckerville's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mayville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.
