The Genesee Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Carrollton with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. The win was just what Genesee needed coming off of a 65-44 loss in their prior matchup.
Genesee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Simpson Autumn led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Autumn scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Averie Zinn, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds.
The win got Genesee back to even at 4-4. As for Carrollton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genesee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Durand at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. Durand is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Carrollton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hemlock at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hemlock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday.
