Section 3 Class A - National recap November 5, 2013
Indian River extended the longest winning streak in Section 3 Class A - National this week by beating Jamesville-DeWitt, 31-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Warriors.
Oswego moved up to 313 from 347 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bucs were able to move up by defeating Nottingham 22-14.
Oswego's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bucs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Garrett Skinner has thrown for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while RYAN LAVNER has 7 catches for 157 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Indian River takes on second place Carthage.
Carthage made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,920 from 4,965. The improvement was largely due to a 43-36 victory over East Syracuse-Minoa last week.
