Galion is 1-8 against Northmor since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Galion Tigers will be staying on the road to face off against the Northmor Golden Knights at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Galion took a serious blow against Ontario, falling 67-29.
Meanwhile, Northmor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mapleton.
Despite the defeat, Northmor saw an underclassman step up: Ryann Brinkman scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Claire Tackett, who scored seven points.
Galion's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.1 points per game. As for Northmor, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Galion was taken down by Northmor 48-13 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Galion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
