Valley Christian and Lincoln are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Valley Christian Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lincoln Lynx at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Valley Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Lincoln will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, everything went Valley Christian's way against Victor as Valley Christian made off with a 36-16 win. That's two games straight that Valley Christian has won by exactly 20 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lincoln, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-38 loss to Granite on Saturday.
Despite their defeat, Lincoln saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Krymzen Dempster, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Dempster has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Zarske, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Lincoln, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
Valley Christian ended up a good deal behind Lincoln in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 41-25. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dempster, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
