The Nutley Maroon Raiders are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Columbia Cougars. Nutley won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
The Maroon Raiders escaped with a win against Newark Academy by the margin of a single basket, 68-66.
Meanwhile, the game between Columbia and West Essex on Tuesday was not a total blowout, but with Columbia falling 51-35 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one.
Nutley's win lifted them to 13-2 while Columbia's defeat dropped them down to 11-4. We'll see if Nutley can repeat their recent success or if Columbia bounces back and reverse their fortune.
