Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pima

Pima won against Phoenix Country Day on Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Roughriders came out on top against the Tempe Prep Knights by a score of 12-8. The win was nothing new for the Roughriders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Aiden Alder was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cedrick Grimes, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Pima was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.

Pima's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Tempe Prep, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Pima will face off against Fountain Hills at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Roughriders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Tempe Prep, they will be taking part in a tournament against Phoenix Country Day at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
