Cortez extended their  winning streak to nine games  thanks to a huge performance from  Nygel Lindsey. The Cortez Colts walked away with  a   66-55  win over the Tempe Buffaloes  on Thursday thanks in part to  Lindsey, who  dropped  a double-double on 24  points and 16  boards. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  boards.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Ulysses Espinoza, who  posted 19  points. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.
 Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Damon Broadnax, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine  points and nine  boards. Another player making a difference was  Arthur Murphy, who  put up eight  points and eight  rebounds.
Cortez's victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Tempe,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-8.
 Cortez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  72-56  loss against Arcadia on the 13th. As for Tempe, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  62-31  win against Coronado on the 10th.
