Prestonwood Christian pushed their score all the way to 40 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parish Episcopal. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Prestonwood Christian in their matchups with Parish Episcopal: they've now lost eight in a row.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Caiden Collins and Maddux Reid. Reid had a great game and rushed for 318 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Collins did his best for the losing side, rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, St. Pius X humbled Central Catholic with a 41-7 victory. The victory was just what St. Pius X needed coming off of a 42-21 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Pius X to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braxton Bies, who threw for 135 yards and five touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Mitchell, who rushed for 151 yards while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.
Parish Episcopal's victory bumped their season record to 7-3 while Prestonwood Christian's loss dropped theirs to 6-3.
