The Seminole County Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Terrell County Greenwave at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Seminole County comes in on three and Terrell County on five.
Seminole County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 32 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 59-24 victory over Quitman County at home. The team ran away with 51 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Seminole County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Equeasha Daniels led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. The match was Daniels' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zyi'Kiera King, who scored 18 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Terrell County strolled past Stewart County with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 58-39. Given Terrell County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Stewart County is ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Terrell County can attribute much of their success to Tadreuna Rogers, who scored 15 points, and Jentaiya Rushing, who scored 19 points. The matchup was Rogers' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Harvey, who scored 5 points.
Seminole County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Terrell County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Seminole County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 55 points per game. However, it's not like Terrell County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 57.2 per game.
