After a string of four wins, The Shadle Park Highlanders''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 44-23 loss at the hands of Clarkston. Shadle Park lost against Clarkston in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 24-17 score last time.
Carter Steinwand continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clarkston, throwing for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Ryken Craber was in the mix too, providing Clarkston with two touchdowns.
Shadle Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Clarkston, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadle Park will take on East Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarkston, they will stay at home for another week and welcome Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Grandview is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
