Tyler has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ritchie County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Knights will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Tyler will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Tyler had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Valley on Monday. The Knights never let the Lumberjacks get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The contest marked the Knights' most dominant victory of the season.
Brayden Neff was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashton Morris, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ritchie County). They walked away with an 8-5 win over Doddridge County on Tuesday.
Brayson Hayes was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base. Turner Shriver was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Ritchie County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Ritchie County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Tyler, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.
Tyler got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Ritchie County by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
