On Thursday, Erwin is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Mountain Heritage at 7:00 PM. Erwin will be strutting in after a win while Mountain Heritage will be stumbling in from a loss.
Erwin took care of business in their home opener. They snuck past Mitchell with a 20-16 victory.
Meanwhile, Mountain Heritage had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 8-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brevard. The game was a 8-8 toss-up at halftime, but Mountain Heritage was outplayed in the second half.
Mountain Heritage's defeat took them down to 0-1 while Erwin's triumph pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Mountain Heritage would reverse both their bad luck and Erwin's good luck. We'll see if Mountain Heritage manages to pull off that tough task or if Erwin keeps their momentum going instead.
