Eastside has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Westview Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastside will be strutting in after a victory while Westview will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Eastside has not done well against Central Noble recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Eastside walked away with a 49-41 victory over Central Noble.
Meanwhile, Westview's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-35 bruising from Fairfield. While losing is never fun, Westview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Fairfield is ranked 63rd).
Eastside's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.46 points. As for Westview, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Eastside against Westview in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 51-24 victory. With Eastside ahead 26-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
