The Bishop Gorman Gaels will head out on the road to square off against the Green Valley Gators at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bishop Gorman will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Cimarron-Memorial on Monday. Bishop Gorman's pitchers stepped up to hand Cimarron-Memorial a 22-0 shutout. The Gaels have beaten the Spartans the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.
GIANNA HORNYAK looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Kayana Fejerang made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Liliana Esparza was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two triples, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Galvin, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bishop Gorman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Green Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .422. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bishop Gorman beat Green Valley 8-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Bishop Gorman repeat their success, or does Green Valley has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
