James Marcotte Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Lyndon was led to victory by James Marcotte, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Marcotte rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (110.4). Those 174 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
For the year, Marcotte has caught those 2 touchdowns while averaging 23 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 3.2 rushing yards per game.

Kasen Parsons Delivers Electric Performance Vs Council Grove
Kasen Parsons put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes.
Council Grove's probably not too fond of Parsons given he always seems to get the better of them. Parsons rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 125 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Braves duked it out back in November of 2023.

Elijah Feltner Makes It Two for Lyndon
The second Lyndon player making an appearance here is Elijah Feltner, and for good reason. He rushed for 31 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
For the season, Feltner has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 88.4 passing yards per game.

Jude Meseke was a major factor in Wabaunsee's win over Cair Paravel on Friday. Meseke was unstoppable, picking up 3.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).
For the year, Meseke has averaged 6.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 8.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had two sacks.

Ace Monihen Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Ace Monihen of Council Grove. Monihen rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 58 yards.
The defeat snapped Council Grove's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record. Monihen and Council Grove will look to defend their home field on Friday against Central Heights at 7:00 p.m.
