The Lawrence County Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Elkmont Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Lawrence County kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a tough 6-0 defeat at the hands of Danville. Lawrence County has not had much luck with Danville recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Elkmont's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past West Limestone 3-2. The victory was just what Elkmont needed coming off of a 10-0 defeat in their prior contest.
Lawrence County came out on top in a nail-biter against Elkmont when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 4-3. Will Lawrence County repeat their success, or does Elkmont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
