The Trenton Tigers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 57-30 victory over Hope Academy. With Trenton ahead 37-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Nyima Gillyard, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Koi Perry was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six assists and six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Trenton and bumps their season record up to 12-2. As for Hope Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will take on Chiefland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chiefland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hope Academy, they will play host again and welcome Varsity Opponent, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
