The St. Joseph D Defenders took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They secured a 42-37 W over Reno County HomeSchool. This was payback for St. Joseph D, who suffered a 45-42 loss the last time these two teams met.
Reno County HomeSchool's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anne Schawe , who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shania Schrock, who scored 4 points along with 12 rebounds.
St. Joseph D's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Reno County HomeSchool, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
St. Joseph D will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blue Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Reno County HomeSchool, they will be playing at home against St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K at 5:40 p.m. on Friday.
