In what's become a running theme this season, Arrowhead gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-33 win over Oconomowoc. Given Arrowhead's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Raccoons are ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arrowhead found their leader in underclassman Natlie Kussow, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Gilmore, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
After soaring to a 29-point victory in their last game, Kettle Moraine came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Muskego by a score of 53-50. It was the first time this season that Kettle Moraine let down their fans at home.
Arrowhead's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Kettle Moraine, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-6.
Arrowhead took their win against the Lasers in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 75-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arrowhead since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
