Basketball Recap: College Park Extends Winning Streak to Three

College Park won the last time they faced Berean Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The College Park Falcons blew past the Berean Christian Eagles 64-44. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

College Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Steven Barnett, who posted 20 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Those eight rebounds gave Barnett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Cooper, who earned 17 points.

The win was the third in a row for College Park, bringing their record for this year to 10-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Berean Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

College Park will challenge Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northgate knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully College Park likes a good challenge. As for Berean Christian, they will square off against Mt. Diablo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berean Christian is facing Mt. Diablo at the right time seeing as Mt. Diablo is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
