As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kornblum has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tristen Cruzen, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Interlake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shelton Henton. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 47.5% of Interlake's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Clark Tonnon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Mercer Island's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Interlake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
