Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Lavaca

The matchup between Lavaca and Ozark on Friday hardly resembled the 40-18 effort from their previous meeting. It was close, but the Lavaca Golden Arrows capped 2024 with a 55-53 win over the Ozark Hillbillies. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Arrows considering their 27-point performance the matchup before.

Lavaca pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Ozark, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lavaca will head out to face off against Hackett at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Ozark, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Waldron at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
