The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past Village Academy with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. The victory was some much needed relief for Dreyfoos School of the Arts as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Zidane Guerrier, who scored 33 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Goldin, who scored 15 points.
Dreyfoos School of the Arts' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Village Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dreyfoos School of the Arts won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Morningside Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Morningside Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday. Village Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Boca Raton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th.
