Jay McQueen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. McQueen was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs. Brandon is 11-4 when McQueen posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

Brandon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwest Rankin only managed seven hits.
Brandon pushed their record up to 17-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Northwest Rankin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14-1.
