Milwaukee Reagan is a perfect 10-0 against Milwaukee King since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Milwaukee Reagan took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Riverside University/Meir 16-5. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with Riverside University/Meir: they've now won five in a row.
Brooke Scott made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 contests.

In other batting news, Mya Merced was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Frank-Kuzmiuk, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Milwaukee Reagan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside University/Meir only posted an OBP of .429.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Augustine Prep, falling 25-13.
Milwaukee Reagan pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Milwaukee King, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Everything went Milwaukee Reagan's way against Milwaukee King when the teams last played on Monday, as Milwaukee Reagan made off with an 18-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
