As for Mather, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Chicago Academy, they, and Rickover Naval.
 On Mather's side,  Melina Vega was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run.
 Chicago Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  13-1  win against Lake View on the 16th. As for Mather, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  an  8-7  loss against Rickover Naval on the 16th.
