Johnson Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Waterloo. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.
Tori Buglass made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since May 1st.

In other batting news, Cari Armstrong was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Brooklyn Gunn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Johnson Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Random Lake sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Oakfield on Thursday.
Ava Daggett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Danika Eberhardt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Madison Arndt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Johnson Creek's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Random Lake, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Johnson Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .413. However, it's not like Random Lake struggles in that department as they've averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
