Burbank is 9-1 against Glendale since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Nitros at 3:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Burbank's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Glendale has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Burbank proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 16) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Muir, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since March 10th.

Maddison Kellogg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Burbank saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Cafferty, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Glendale came into Wednesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past Gabrielino 2-1.

Glendale also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Natalie Minkler gave up a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Jade Marquez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Burbank is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Glendale, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12-1.

Burbank took their win against Glendale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-5 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Nitros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
