Durham waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Winters Warriors 12-3. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Sadie Sjolund made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trinity Kolu, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Peyton Konyn was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
