Sam Pehrson Dazzles in Murray Win
Starting off the list is Murray's Sam Pehrson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pehrson rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory was the third in a row for Murray, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Pehrson and Murray are on the road again on Thursday to play Stansbury at 7:00 p.m.

Conner Whitehead Delivers Best Performance of Season
Conner Whitehead produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Murray to the win on Friday. Whitehead picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss).
This year, Whitehead has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 15.6 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Gritzmacher As Tooele Fell 51-17
Vaughn Gritzmacher continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending a pass.
Murray's probably not too fond of Gritzmacher given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Gritzmacher saw the Spartans), he rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Bodily Posts Huge Game in 37-7 Win
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Bash Bodily stepped things up a notch to give Park City the 'W'. Jordan had no answer to Bodily as he threw for 213 yards and a touchdown on only 18 passes, and also caught a touchdown.
The win made it two in a row for Park City and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Bodily and Park City will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on October 16th.

Eli Warner Makes It Two for Park City
Another Park City player making an appearance on this list is Eli Warner. He rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns.
Jordan's probably not too fond of Warner given he always seems to get the better of them. When Warner last faced the Beetdiggers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.
